Saif Tarek's Bio
Saif is a Ph.D. candidate at Virginia Tech studying Public Administration and Public Affairs, with a research focus on the U.S. federal government, presidential executive power, and institutional theory. His work examines how political narratives and executive power shape public administration and governance outcomes. His research has been presented at leading public administration and political science conferences, including APPAM, MPSA, and PMRC.
Saif holds a Fulbright-funded Master’s degree from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in International Policy and Development, with dual specializations in Migration & Global Governance and Program Evaluation.
Professionally, Saif brings eight years of international development experience, managing programs across multiple countries. His work has focused on youth development, women’s empowerment, social entrepreneurship, and economic development. From 2013 to 2020, he led an award-winning organization, overseeing program strategy, implementation, and impact evaluation. Saif also holds the Project Management Professional certification (PMP).
Saif's current passion is toward public service and helping people to improve their living conditions and empower underprivileged communities!
